Black Friday (Holiday Romance) Giveaway!

Ah, Black Friday, the day when the world goes wild for deals, discounts, and the occasional elbow to the face. While some brave souls venture out into the chaos, others prefer to cozy up at home, diving into their favorite holiday romance, so I’m thrilled to offer a giveaway of the audiobook of No Rescue Required, my “sweet and lovely” Christmas novel hailed as “holiday road trip perfection”!

For a chance to win, take a peek at the stories on my current wish list and leave a comment letting me know your favorite novel of the year!

“A Winter in New York” by Josie Silver

As you probably already know, I love New York City as a romantic location, and I adored Josie Silver’s previous novels, One Day in December and The Two Lives of Lydia Bird. In fact, One Day in December is one of my all-time favorite holiday romances so I can’t wait to embrace the magic of the city in this new novel Popsugar calls one of the best books of the year.

“Cassandra in Reverse” by Holly Smale

“It’s a lie, the first page of a book, because it masquerades as a beginning.” Is this an awesome line, or what? For me, the toughest part of writing a new novel is always the beginning, so I love this kickoff of Holly Smale’s story about a character stuck in a time loop, trying to fix the third worst day of her life.

“Tom Lake” by Ann Patchett

One of those books I am seeing on all the best lists of the year. I love Ann Patchett and I’m a sucker for books about actors set in the theatre. Many of my thoughts as of late circle around the memory of my life before my kids and the unknown of what life will be as they move inevitably into their own, so this story of a mother’s surprising life before her family, is a must-read for me.

“The Fury” by Alex Michaelides

Each year, I try to read a book by an author featured at the arts and lecture series in my city. As we wrap up 2023, this one by Alex Michaelides caught my eye. Set on the idyllic Greek island of a reclusive ex-movie star where there’s a murder. Count. Me. In.

So, my fellow book lovers, I hope you will enjoy some down time and a wonderful read as you prepare to embrace the holidays. Remember, Black Friday may be a frenzy, but the real adventure lies within the pages of a good book.

Don’t forget! Comment with your recommendations for a chance to win the audiobook of No Rescue Required and may your holidays be filled with joy and laughter! xo, Maggie

Synopsis of No Rescue Required:

Sports agent Ryan Callahan’s trip is a complete disaster. Not only did he fail to sign a promising young ballplayer, but now he’s stranded in a Kentucky town no bigger than a bourbon ball. His plane’s been canceled, there’s not a cab to be found, and getting back to New York City is gonna take a miracle. Like a quirky, strawberry-blonde florist with a big van and a craving for late-night, deep-fried hotdogs…

With her best friend’s wedding and her business on the line, Sabrina Hayes needs to be in New York like yesterday. But with her flight canceled and her bank account almost as empty as her gas tank, an extra passenger might just be the long-overdue lucky charm Sabrina needs…especially now that she knows he’s definitely not a serial killer disguised as a scrumptious Thor look-alike.

Somewhere between a roadside stand that serves food as fast as it serves weddings, a motel room haunted by a lovesick ghost, and a car race known as the Snowball 500, Sabrina and Ryan are about to discover that anything that can go wrong will go hilariously wrong. But even they are not prepared for what’s in store on the road ahead…
